Laura de Weck's comedy is about five young people who, ready for new experiences, meet during smoke breaks at university or for an afternoon at the café, wander restlessly around between the library and noisy parties, in search of … – yes, what exactly? Lili is studying psychology and would like to be seduced, Darius is reluctant, and Jule, his ex-girlfriend and Lili's best pal, soon grows jealous. Sven never seems to make a good impression. The couples rearrange themselves in no time and like Anna – who is in a longterm relationship with Phillip, a medical student with his nose constantly in his books – go in search of authenticity in a time of unlimited possibilities. But behind this cheerful façade, the signs of a deep-rooted insecurity soon become visible, as neither casual sex nor longterm relationships can conceal an underlying sense of great longing. The snippets of small talk and SMS messages, occasionally sent in the middle of the night, are testament to a tragedy of human relationships that, finally and quite unexpectedly, becomes reality.
