Bernd Eilert was born in Oldenburg in 1949. He studied drama at the University of Marburg. Eilert has authored texts and plays for radio, television and the satirical journal ›Pardon‹. He was one of the co-founders of ›Titanic‹ in 1979. In the 1980s he co-authored, with Robert Gernhardt and Peter Knorr, texts and scripts for comedian Otto Waalkes, apart from a detective novel and a volume of short stories. Bernd Eilert lives in Frankfurt.
